Masculine portrayals in mainstream media presentation

Presentation detailing types of hegemonic, or culturally normative, masculinity present in mainstream media. It became apparent men and women feel the same pressures from media. It was determined that masculinity is changing in our culture much how gender views have evolved.

Integrated Marketing Communication Campaign Paper

Integrated marketing communication campaign written to help Fitbit increase worldwide brand awareness. Proper communication channels for message distribution and ways to relate to the target audience are given. We suggest increased advertising on social media and selecting brand ambassadors or spokespeople to promote Fitbit.

Press Release

Mock press release created for an Under Armour custom jersey release event. Writing this document allowed me to use the media writing skills I learned to produce a professional document. Using the inverted pyramid writing style and selecting which facts were most pertinent was a beneficial experience.

Quantitative Research Project

Research project analyzing the role social media has on sports viewership. After conducting a survey and examining its results we determined Twitter serves as an excellent platform for sports fans to share knowledge. After consulting the uses and gratifications theory it became apparent our survey respondents used social media for many of the same reasons.
